This is not the famous “Lone Cypress” but it is just as lonely and lovely, perched on a cliff along Scenic Road in Carmel.  The Monterey Cypress thrives on the wind, salt air and fog.  It is the rarest naturally growing tree in the world, yet one of the most picturesque.
